With the coronavirus situation starting to improve in many countries, many visa application centers in the European Union and the Schengen area located in countries outside the European Union have begun to resume operations.
According to the recent announcement by outsourcing and technology company VFS Global, during this month, Malta, Czech Republic, Ireland, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Switzerland and Belgium have reopened visa centers located abroad, mostly in India, SchengenVisaInfo. com reports.
VFS Global has announced that citizens of India can now head to the Malta Visa Application Center located in Pune, India, to request visa services as the latter has resumed work. The center accepts long-term applications, every Wednesday from 9 am to 1 pm.
In addition, the Malta Visa Application Center in Ahmedabad has opened its doors to Indians in need of visa services.
“From September 24, 2021, the Malta Visa Application Center in Ahmedabad will resume accepting applications for D-Visa Work Permits, operating every Friday from 9am to 3pm,” reads the statement published by VFS Global.
The Czech Republic has also reopened the Visa Application Center in India, which has been closed for several months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The authorities in Ireland have also confirmed that the visa application centers located in India have opened their doors to Indian nationals.
“The Irish visa application centers in India have resumed accepting short stay applications. The announcement said centers in Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad, Jalandhar, Kolkata, South Mumbai, Pune and New Delhi are already accepting long stay applications.”
Earlier this month, the Swiss Visa Application Centre, located in Pune, India, also started offering its services every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8am to 2am.
The Belgium Visa Application Center in Ahmedabad has also started accepting Class D and Seaman visa applications from September 1, offering its services every Monday and Wednesday from 9am to 2pm.
The Estonian Visa Center located in Ivangorod also resumed its work from September 6, offering its services every Monday to Wednesday from 10 am to 2 pm.
In addition, the Czech Visa Application Center in Tehran resumed operations on September 2, 2021.
The Finnish Visa Application Center previously announced in Hong Kong that it will accept applications for a limited category of visas with an emphasis that it will be open every Wednesday and Friday from 9 am to 12 pm.
Another European country has reopened its overseas visa application center after confirming that the current situation of COVID-19 allows such a step to be taken. According to the announcement published by VFS Global, Hungary reopened its visa application center on September 5 in Abu Dhabi, allowing all citizens to request visa services in this country.
