Citizens of India will be eligible to visit many European countries even for tourism, as visa application centers in European countries located in India have resumed their work, providing various visa services, after they remained temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 situation.
VFS Global, the visa technology and outsourcing services company, has released an update on visa application services in India. Due to the lockdown/curfew restrictions announced in some states, some visa application centers have been temporarily closed in certain cities,” the company announced through a statement, TheSchengen.com reports.
According to the VFS statement, the following European visa application centers in India have started offering their services for short-term visa;
Belgium- New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kochi and Hyderabad, Croatia – New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Bengaluru, Denmark – New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Kochi India Nationals are eligible now To apply for a long-term visa in the following European countries, Belgium- New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kochi and Hyderabad, Croatia- New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Bengaluru, Denmark- New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Kochi, Ireland- Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Jalandar, Chandigarh and Delhi.
The following European countries also offer C and D visa services, which Indian nationals can avail.

Although the coronavirus pandemic has prompted countries to temporarily freeze issuance of visas or visa application centers to offer a limited class of services, the following European countries are now issuing all kinds of visa services.
Belarus – Mumbai and New Delhi Sweden – Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, New Delhi and Kolkata.
VFS Global has announced that some European countries have also started resuming visa application centers abroad in order to facilitate the travel process.
Switzerland recently announced that visa application centers in foreign countries, which have temporarily suspended their services due to the coronavirus, have resumed their operations.
Poland will soon welcome nationals from the Philippines as it has decided to open a Visa Application Center in Manila, which currently offers Schengen visa services and national long-stay visas.
