White House Assistant Press Secretary Kevin Munoz finally revealed the date when the United States will finally reopen borders to vaccinated travelers from the 26 Schengen Area countries, Ireland and the United Kingdom, among others.
In a tweet, Secretary Munoz confirmed that travelers from Europe will be able to enter US territory starting November 8, both from air and by land.
“The new US travel policy requiring vaccinations for foreign travelers to the United States will begin on November 8. This announcement and date applies to both international air travel and ground travel. This policy is guided by public health, and is strict and consistent,” the press secretary wrote.
The repeal of the US entry ban for vaccinated travelers was announced on September 20, however, since then, the authorities have not set any date in this regard. At least not until today.
