Other EU and Schengen Area visa application centers located outside the EU/Schengen Area countries have started to resume operations after confirming that the current COVID-19 situation allows such a decision.
According to the announcement by outsourcing and technology company VFS Global, Bulgarian and Belgium visa application centers located abroad have opened their doors this month to all people interested in obtaining visa services, TheSchengen.com reports.
According to VFS, several Bulgarian visa application centers in India have started to provide visa services to all Indian nationals.
“Bulgarian visa application centers in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune have resumed accepting applications for all visa categories,” reads the statement published by VFS.
At the same time, the agency confirmed that the Belgian visa center in Danang, Vietnam has also resumed its work, accepting visa applications for all categories.
“The Belgian Visa Application Center in Danang, Vietnam has resumed accepting all categories of visa applications, and operates every Monday from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm,” the statement read.
In the past month, European countries such as the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany, France, Belgium, Norway, Iceland and Poland reopened their centers located in countries outside the European Union.
In October, the Czech Republic Visa Center located in Kathmandu, Nepal, resumed accepting short and long stay applications, offering services every Tuesday from 9am to 1pm.
The Slovakia Visa Center in Mumbai, India has also started accepting Limited (Category C) visa applications, keeping its doors open every Tuesday and Thursday from 8am to 2pm.
In addition, Hungarian centers based in India, which provide visa services, have also opened their doors in Kochi and Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru have resumed accepting short-term visa applications of limited category.
“The visa application centers for Germany, France and Belgium in Ahmedabad have resumed operations from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 3pm, with prior appointment only,” VFS Global announced in a statement last month.
The German Visa Application Center in Ahmedabad has resumed its work, accepting short-term visa applications and applications for visa stamp D.
Indian citizens are also eligible to head to the Icelandic Visa Center in Ahmedabad for services, as the Icelandic Visa Center in India has resumed accepting short-stay visa applications, offering its services every Monday and Wednesday from 9am to 1pm.
In addition, the Norway Visa Center in Ahmedabad has started accepting all visa categories, providing visa services every Monday and Wednesday from 9 am to 1 pm.
The Polish Visa Center in Ahmedabad has resumed accepting Class D applications every Monday and Wednesday from 9am to 3pm.
